Master Gardeners of Monroe County – take classes to become a certified Master Gardener, network with other gardeners and participate in workshops
Bloomington Organic Growers Association – network with other organic gardeners and participate in workshops
People’s University classes - includes Grow Organic Educator Series (GOES), an in-depth organic gardening class, and many other gardening classes as well as a wide variety of other topics from art to sports to language.
Hilltop Garden and Nature Center – an educational garden at IU offering many tours and workshops for the public, including children’s activities as well as programs for experienced gardeners

“How to Grow More Vegetables and Fruits Than You Ever Thought Possible on Less Land Than You Can Imagine” by John Jeavons – a great introduction to intensive gardening.
“Square Foot Gardening” by Mel Bartholomew – another great resource for growing a lot of food in a small area and some excellent lessons on starting small and planning well.
“Designing and Maintaining Your Edible Landscape Naturally” by Robert Kourik and Rosalind Creasy – wonderful information on incorporating edible plants into your yard.
